Working with Attachment Trauma Using ITATM™

This is a clinical training, for therapists providing trauma therapy using ITATM™. Participants must have completed the 5-day Part 1 and 2 ITATM™ training as a pre-requisite.

About This Course


This workshop focuses on the impact of attachment trauma and strategies to enhance the use of ITATM™ when working with complex trauma. 

Topics of focus will include: 
  • Learn About Different Types of Attachment: Intergenerational transmission of trauma, intrauterine insults, birth complications, early life trauma, single incident trauma experiences and the intersection of various complex factors.
  • Intervention Strategies: Effective techniques for treating pre-verbal trauma will be provided including processing examples and treatment strategies. 
  • Practical Intervention Strategies:

    • Reviewing experiential methods and techniques for engaging and supporting at-risk youth.

  • Engaging Family: Learn techniques for engaging the family to assist with meaning making and repair. 
Note* It is recommended that participants complete training in the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM) prior to completing this training for optimal benefit as this builds upon our core training and the ITATM trauma processing protocol.

Featuring Lead Trainer: Lori Gill, MACP, RP, CTIC

Lori Gill is the Founder and Clinical Director at the Attachment and Trauma Treatment Centre for Healing (ATTCH) and Lori Gill Psychotherapy. She is a Registered Psychotherapist, Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS), and a Trainer and Consultant Supervisor for STARR Commonwealth. With over 18 years of experience, Lori has worked in various settings, helping children, youth, and adults with trauma, attachment, mental health, and more.

Lori developed the Integrative Trauma and Attachment Treatment Model (ITATM)®, which integrates multiple modalities like sensory processing, somatics, CBT, and bilateral stimulation to regulate the body, brain, and mind. She is recognized for her contributions to the trauma field, including receiving an Award of Excellence in 2014. Lori also provides consultation, supervision, and wellness therapy to prevent compassion fatigue.
